Since 1986 Kingwood Garden Club has been able to award over $90,000 to area college students. Annually, we look for deserving candidates seeking financial assistance to their education. The Guidelines are as follows:


Applicants for the KGC Scholarship must:

  1. Applicants must be a graduate of Humble ISD or New Caney ISD High Schools.
  2. Be entering the Junior or Senior undergraduate level or studying at the graduate level
  3. Study a field related to gardening/horticulture. This may include but is not limited to: botany, agriculture, conservation, entomology, forestry, horticulture, environmental studies, landscape or landscape architecture, and plant research
  4. Use the money for tuition, books, or course related materials only.  The scholarship check will be paid directly to the college/university of the student’s choice.
DOWNLOAD SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The student must attach a 2-4 page essay explaining their major field of study, why it is important and future plans. Completed application, essay and a current official transcript must be submitted by March 25.
